Just as physics is a very exact science, metaphysics is a very flexible science.  Physics is objective in that the scientist is separate from the experiment.  Metaphysics is subjective in that the scientist is part of the experiment.

Metaphysics is more than intellectual study.  Metaphysics is the science of feeling our personal feelings and feeling the feelings of our environment.  A daily practice for training ourself to become aware of our feelings and the feelings of our environment is essential to metaphysics.  Each person must find their own routine, which will support his or her personal goals.  The practices may include daily physical exercises, breathing techniques, an investigation of the environment, the study of physics, the study of plants, animals and minerals, and the direct exploration of mind.

Each person has different preferences and everyone will take different risks.  We exercise to different levels of strenuousness, have different life experiences, and expose ourselves to different environmental conditions.  Therefore, we all have different types of toxins, different quantities of toxins, and different degrees of health.  “Different degrees of health” is the same as saying “different degrees of illness.”  A cleansing technique for one person may not have the same effect as it has on another.

We practice metaphysics with our self-image, which is our perception of our “self.”  The self sees itself as a separate piece of reality within the immense environment of the Universe.  As such, each person wishes to take responsibility for his or her own practice and the consequences of that practice.  It is therefore essential to learn how to listen to our own feelings when considering whether we want to duplicate the experiences of others.

We duplicate the experiences of people we trust, but we must always balance that trust with healthy skepticism.  We may be enthralled with potential benefits, but we must also be aware of the potential risks.  I will be sharing information on cleansing techniques, diets, herbs, exercises, and other preparations, which I have found useful for increasing vitality and awareness.  Take the time to investigate and verify facts for yourself, as the scope of this publication is merely to provide an introduction for a very complex world.  I have learned much from others, but I also learned a few things on my own.  You will undoubtedly make a few discoveries as you apply your own unique perspective as a participant in this world.

We release toxins through various body functions while cleansing the body and clearing the mind.  The release of toxins may coincide with feelings and emotions, which can be negative and intense.  It is important to recognize these cleansing and clearing-out episodes.  Sometimes it may feel like our health is declining rather than improving.  Learn to expect these minor setbacks, as they are normal.  Depending upon the toxins, and how long they have been in the body, these episodes pass within minutes, hours, or days.  Some processes of rebuilding body tissues may take years.

If you are starting these preparations from a very unhealthy state of being, then you will definitely want to consult your doctor before committing to a program.  If you have a naturopathic doctor in your area, use his or her services.  You can have your blood and vital organs tested to see what state your health is in before you begin, and adjust your cleansing program according to your doctor’s advice.

When I started the cleansing program, I was 47, weighed 197 pounds, and had a 38-inch waistline.  I led a sedentary lifestyle for several years due to a compound fracture of my lower left leg and ankle.  My body fats were unbalanced and I had just been to the emergency room of the local hospital twice for what turned out to be panic attacks.  It turned out that my otherwise healthy diet clogged my arteries due to lack of exercise, which in turn starved my heart and brain of oxygen.  I also felt as though symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease were setting in.

The hospital gave me a proper stress test, although the assigned doctor never contacted me to explain the results, presumably due to my inability to pay.  I had been unemployed for several years, ineligible for public medical services, and had no medical insurance.  With each panic attack, skipped heartbeat, and pound of my straining heart, I felt like death was closing in.  That was when I decided it was time to put my thirty years of metaphysical dabbling to serious practice.

My determination was the first step in regaining my health.  In that determination, I sent out the right signals to friends and family, who came to my aid with the money I needed for buying the cleansing herbs and supplies.
